Many people have, at some point or another, experienced insomnia. Some individuals experience it more often than others. There are several aspects that can lead to an individual experiencing insomnia, including depression, little to no exercise, some types of medication, anxiety, bad sleeping habits, or even chronic illnesses.
Clear indications of insomnia include finding it difficult to fall asleep, or to stay asleep and may experience feeling tired throughout the day. This leads to poor performance at work, difficulty in relationships, an inability to focus, and feeling drained.
There are various treatments available to help candidates achieve a better night’s rest. These may include identifying possible underlying causes such as stress, anxiety, or medically related causes, as well as sleeping aids that help the candidate to fall asleep. The latter may produce side effects though.
Recent reports into the effects of Cannabidiol (CBD) and cannabinol (CBN) on insomnia have yielded surprisingly good results. Cannabinol (CBN) is found in small amounts in cannabis. It has been determined that CBN has been very effective at addressing anxiety in candidates. Anxiety may be one of the key underlying reasons for insomnia. Thus, eliminating anxiety may lead to a more restful night’s sleep.
CBN is available in various forms, including CBN capsules which may help candidates to fall asleep easier and stay asleep. Though it needs to be mentioned that research is still in its infancy phase regarding CBN and its ability to assist with sleep disorders.
Further studies into the effects of CBN are still being conducted. It needs to be stated that, thus far, it has been established as a method of relieving anxiety. Candidates should always consult with a healthcare provider before determining which method will be most suitable for addressing sleep disorders.
