Dietitian Approved Pizza — Nomadista Nutrition
Milton’s Craft Bakers Cauliflower Crust Pizza has proven to be one of my go-to dinners for pizza night! The cauliflower crust is thin and crispy for a “crunchy, yet a soft” texture that’s so enjoyable and so tasty – and better for us too! (You might not even believe it’s cauliflower crust!)
Cauliflower has gotten a bad reputation in the past. As dietitians, we always encourage people to “eat the rainbow” for a variety of vitamins and minerals, and because of cauliflower’s lack of color, it typically gets left out. However, this vegetable is loaded with different health benefits like fiber and antioxidants, and is a great lower calorie substitute.
Fiber is especially important in our diet to reduce inflammation in the gut, aid in a healthy digestive system, and promote fullness. Milton’s Pizza provides 2g of fiber per serving, giving us about 7-10% of our daily needs. Plus it’s gluten free, so if you’re celiac or just trying to avoid gluten, Milton’s Pizza is a great option.
Cauliflower also has tons of antioxidants that protect us from harmful free radicals and inflammation. A diet high in antioxidants may boost the immune system and offer support to prevent the onset of illness.
