Nicole Richie gave birth to a baby girl named Harlow Winter Kate Madden. The baby was 6 pounds 7 ounces and was born on January 11th 2008 at Cedars Sinai in LA.
Please Nicole, just enjoy your newborn and don’t freak out over your weight, having a mushy tummy, etc. We don’t want to see you get too thin again. Congratulations to you and your man Joel Madden!

Nicole Richie is really gaining good and it’s nice to see! Here she is walking and shopping as usual. Walking is the best form of exercise if you’re preggers so this is a good thing.

Nicole Richie is gaining weight finally! Great, but how she’s doing it might not be so great. Nicole’s drinking way too much diet soda. Not only does it cause bloating and has absolutely no nutritional value, but aspartame in diet sodas is bad for baby!
She’s much better off drinking normal non-diet sodas. Aspartame is thought to cause obvious birth defects, and changes or damage to certain areas of the brain. The studies are not affirmative yet, but that would certainly be enough for me to back off anything diet for 9 months!

Nicole Richie is finally eating, she says! This is good for her and baby…and even though shes eating for two, she says she going to do her best to eat junk food in moderation to keep her post-preg weight normal. She also says that she never lets herself get hungry. This way she wont end up binging on the high calorie carbs and junk food she loves so much.
Keeping yourself nourished and hydrated throughout the day will keep baby happy, and mom to be will be less likely to binge. I’m happy to hear that Nicole’s one meal a day diet she was on previous to her pregnancy is a thing of the past.
Hopefully she can keep her new eating habits, as the never let yourself get hungry diet trick is a good way to feel satisfied 24/7 and keep your weight under control by never letting yourself get hungry which always ends up in overeating. When you always have calories to burn, your body won’t try to “hold” on to the fat. That’s why its a good idea for everyone, and not just pregnant women.

A friend of the Simple Life star recently told InTouch magazine that Nicole is a junk-food addict. She frequently skips breakfast and dinner and has only a fast-food lunch. I hope this is before she was preggo, yikes. By the way this celeb diet secret is NOT recommended, preggo or not.
