Ricki Lake is famous for yo yo dieting. She’s even went to extreme diets where she states she wasn’t eating and always exercising which would cause her to faint. Hmmm…too weak to eat, now that’s trendy. But now weighing in at 123 lbs, Ricki Lake lost over half her body weight from her heaviest of 250 lbs.

Lauren Conrad’s diet plan

Recently she toned up and lost 6 lbs. Lauren’s diet plan includes 6 meals daily, limited to 1,500 calories. Her diet plan is filled with fish and veggies but she does indulge in carbs on her cheat day. Lauren does 1 hour sessions of weight training and treadmill work twice a week. She incorporates 45 minute hiking sessions in LA’s Runyon Canyon when she’s not working out. About her slim down Lauren says “The first place I lost weight was my little belly. Now I’m happy about my arms because they were a little mushy!” She adds “When I work out regularly and eat healthy, I feel better.”

Eating small meals throughout the day helps keep her metabolism up. Her exercise regimen is not only sensible but realistic. Lauren shows you can tone up by exercising smartly without spending all your time in the gym.

Hayden loves apples and it shows! She eats an apple a day, not to keep the doctor away, but to keep Jenny Craig away. Yes, eating apple before meals may help to melt pounds away. Fiber-filled fruits help to satiate hunger, which probably results in lower calorie intake from the meal. In addition to apples and pears, other fruits that are good sources of fiber include strawberries, raspberries, and peaches. Fiber takes longer for your body to digest compared to other energy forms. Women should try to get at least 25 grams of fiber per day in their diet.

Britney Spears is going to extreme measures to lose weight! The mother of two has been photographed in public while sucking on inhalers. She doesn’t have asthma. Instead, Britney is using the chemical epinephrine, found in asthma medications, as an appetite suppressant. Not smart! Serious side effects include headaches, dizziness, nausea, sleepiness and heart arrhythmia.  Similar to the side effects we got from watching her at the VMA awards.

Jennifer Aniston likes her Coconuts

This girl has done every diet in the book it seems! Jennifer Aniston is believed to have tried this diet, called the coconut. It works on the principal of eating more fat – coconut oil – to lose fat. The diet plan includes plenty of coconut oil, cod-liver oil supplements and traditional fats such as butter, egg yolks, meat fats and lard. The claim is it will lead to quick and easy weight loss, as well as boosting the immune system. However, a diet high in saturated fats can damage the heart.  No worries for Jen though, Brad already did that.
